This Good Friday, as a church family, we are intentionally fasting and spending time in prayer for the unchurched in our community, and all across our nation. Easter Weekend is the time when unchurched people are most likely to attend a church event or church service, so we do not want to waste that opportunity!
We will begin fasting Friday morning at sunrise, and will then break our fast together through communion at the Good Friday service. A sign up sheet will be available at the Chapel exits.
Prayer Prompts:
- Thank God for the salvation that He freely gave you. (Romans 5:5-18)
- Thank God for Jesus’ willingness to do “the will of the Father” to take on your sin and shame, absorbing the wrath of God in your place. (Mark 14:35-36)
- Thank God for His faithfulness and the works you have already seen Him do in your life. (Romans 12:1-21)
- Pray for Easter Weekend at FBC Manchester, for our community, and all across our nation.
- Pray that those who are unchurched would find themselves at an evangelistic Easter event. (Psalm 119:105-112)
- Pray that churches would be bold in speaking the gospel and pointing people to their need for Jesus. (Romans 1:16-17)
- Pray for hearts to be softened and open to the movement of God. (Ezekiel 36:26-27)
- Pray for church members to show up and connect with guests. (Mark 12:28-33)
- Pray for beautiful weather throughout the weekend so that people are not hindered from attending events and services! (Matthew 21:21-22)
